NVG-291 RESTORE Phase 3 Trial: Actual September 28 Start, Recruiting Status and Evidence Gaps
ClinicalTrials.gov now records an actual September 28, 2026 start for NervGen’s NVG-291 RESTORE trial. Recruiting status and planned enrollment do not establish efficacy or completed enrollment.
This article records evidence available when published or updated. Registration dates are not proof of trial enrollment; check the original sources for current status.
Update, October 6, 2026 (America/Chicago): The ClinicalTrials.gov RESTORE record, last posted October 5, now lists Recruiting and an ACTUAL September 28, 2026 start. This replaces the earlier registry snapshot described in our September 23 article, which listed an estimated September 23 start and not-yet-recruiting status. We retain this URL and distinguish the historical record from the newly reported actual date.
Has the NVG-291 RESTORE trial started?
The latest registry start-date field is ACTUAL September 28, 2026. This is a reported actual date in the registry, rather than an inference from recruiting status. Recruiting is a separate field: by itself it would not establish an exact start date. The record does not establish that planned enrollment has been completed or that treatment has been effective.
Prepared research question
NVG-291 RESTORE Phase 3 Trial → NGEN: what primary evidence confirms the trial status, and which dates remain unconfirmed?
Traceable citations · Unknowns marked
What RESTORE is designed to test
The record identifies NervGen Pharma as sponsor, NVG-291 and placebo as interventions, and chronic spinal cord injury as the condition. It describes a randomized, parallel Phase 3 study with estimated enrollment of 150. That number is a target, not a count already enrolled.
The official title uses double-blind; the structured masking field says triple and lists participant, care provider and investigator. We report the roles explicitly rather than silently substituting a label. See the trial-design checklist for the interpretation framework.
Which dates remain estimates?
Primary completion is recorded as July 2027, estimated. The record supplies month precision, so it does not justify inventing a particular day. Primary completion is not a promised public readout date. Completion is separately listed as December 14, 2027, also estimated.
What evidence should an investor check next?
Separate reported trial start, recruitment, planned enrollment, outcomes and financing assumptions. Ask what primary evidence supports each conclusion and what remains unknown. This registry update is not proof of efficacy, approval, completed enrollment or a share-price effect.
The prepared research task should check current evidence. An archived article or calendar entry must not replace the original record.
